Norway

Well here's the update.
On the 27th we flew off to Bodo via Oslo from Manchester. We were delayed in Manchester, which left us 20 minutes in Oslo to go through customs with baggage and check-in again and then go to gate. No chance you'd think… No sir, we managed it. The transfer desk was closed and so too were the checkins as ours was one of the last flights and we should have been checked in a long before we we got there. We ran our socks off , got the baggage through the security and to our gate with security in tow as I had a knife in my bag. We got to the gate just as the closed the door. 20 minutes transfer with customs has to be a record. 🙂 .

philWe got to Bodo to see the 14 of my extended family.. Brilliant fun. Gill had all the usual introductions which went smoothly. In Bodo at that time of year there is only abut 3 hours of light a day which doesn't leave alot of time to do anything. We slept alot as it was so dark. The rest of the time we ate, watched norwegian TV, played in the ice and snow. We also went to see my aunty on the Lofoten islands. Super time really, with the dampener of a flu which is gone now. We got to see a mild incarnation of the northern lights which was a great thing for Gill to see as I never shut up about the time I saw the real thing in vibrant colours.
