Milford

Today we went on a cruise down the Milford sound Fjord. It was really really amazing. I took far too many photos. Yesterday we had some mre trouble with the van but most of th smoke that was coming from the engine and between the seats was from the brakes as it is one hell of a steep descent to Milford. The AA guy (we called him as we weren't sure if the engine was acting up again as well as the brakes) said that it happens to everybody and that one gut got his brakes soo hot that the hubcaps melted. All is well now anywway and we head off to Dunedin tomorrow… Have a good one y'allll.

Timaru

I'm now in Timaru south of Christchurch in McDonalds.. loads of McDonalds over have Internet.. a great idea really.. but then I am a geek. The van had a little upset today with smoke coming up from beneath the seats but all is sorted now…… I have a mobile here, the number is +64 21 21 57 24 6. Texts are appreciated as I have no friends now bar Gill.

In Christchurch now

philWell here I am .. a new country to add to my belt (??). The flights over went well, and we got away with our excess baggage (20kg extra). When we arrived we got picked up by the campervan lady and brought to our campervan. It is out of this world. It has tons of storage space and the bed is really easy to get ready. It has a 2 way fridge and gas hobs and a heater too. It is defintely worth paying a bit more to get a van that you are happy with. Our previous campervans in Australia were not a patch on this baby. To the left is a picture from the Nomad Campervanz website.

Gallery Fixed

Once again Redbrick comes up trumps.. Gallery fixed.. I don't really have time to put up too many so here's a teaser.. It's of me and Gill outside our BushCamper just south of Melbourne before we got the ferry to the start of the Great Ocean Road.

Sup y’all NZ here I come

Hey ho, I'm in Adelaide at the moment in the YHA. We fly off to New Zealand early tomorrow morning so this is our last day/night in Australia… I'd like to say to all involved that I have had a wonderful time, both working and travalling and general living in Sydney.

Since last post we have toured Melbourne, visited Phillip Island, driven the whole of the "Great Ocean Road" staying in some really nice places and seeing all of the sites (all on camera) and toured Adelaide…. all wonderful and lots of fun.

My camera did have a little upset after being dropped in the sand (not me). The lens wasn't opening so I took it to some cemera shops who all said it would take at least 2 weeks to get fixed ( I had 2 hours ) so I went to the hardware store and bought some precision screwdrivers, took it apart, blew here and there, brushed a few places, put it back together and hey presto it worked. Mt warranty is now invalid but I have it insured so I can still rest easy if anything else happens to my baby.

My posts have been pretty slack of late but as I am travelling around, that much is understandable, Redbrick seem to have moved the webserver yet again and it also seems that ImageMagick did not follow all the other webservices so uploading to the gallery will not be possible untill that is fixed. Anyway have a great time and thanks for all the fun in OZ…. untill next time (in NZ in a new campervan) sya….

Grand Prix

The Grand Prix was great, Schueeey ran away with it again as usual. We were allowed on the track at the end which was great, got loads of photos. We went around Melbourne yesterday , the museum which was great, federation square, yarra river, southbank for dinner and on to the casino where we one $150 which paid for the day. Tomorrow we're off to Phillip Island (definitely photos of me by that sign 🙂 ) to see the penguin parade and then after that we start off on the great ocean road…. so till next time….sya.

My ears hurt…

We went to the second day of the Fosters Australian Grand Prix, Absolutely amazing, The cars are soo loud. Tomorrow is more practice and then qualifying, And then the big race on Sunday.. I can't wait. Schueyy smashed his own course record on his second practice lap.

I haven't told y'all about our campervan, We originally booked a normal campervan but the people that had it before us didn't show up, so we got a bush camper (4 drive wheel campervan ) It's not as big inside but it's great  otherwise. 4.2 litre diesel engine. arrr arrrr arrrr!!!!!!!!. Having the iBook is great as we can watch DVDs which is glamour. Anyway I'll update again soon.

Travelling

We've started our travels now, we are one day away from Melbourne now and the Grand Prix, I can't wait, I'll update more when I get a chance. Cya
